General Information

  • How to Participate

SIAM requests individuals limit themselves to a single lecture presentation. Organizing Committee Co-Chairs may make exceptions for invited plenary speakers, and others may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

A poster may be presented in addition to a talk. All submissions are subject to review and final approval by the co-chairs.

Submit a presentation in one of the formats listed below.

  • Acceptance Notification

Authors will be notified by email in June 2026.

  • Speaker Cancellation

Every presenting author is expected to register and attend the conference.  A “no-show” or cancelled presentation causes a serious inconvenience to attendees and organizers.

If it becomes necessary to cancel a presentation, an alternate presenter (preferably a co-author), should be scheduled. Review SIAM Policy on Substitute Speakers and Remote Presentations, and contact SIAM immediately with any change to a scheduled presentation.

Submission Formats

Minisymposia
A minisymposium generally consists of four 25-minute presentations, with an additional five minutes for discussion after each presentation. To ensure balance, SIAM prefers a single individual not serve as a organizer or co-organizer of more than one minisymposium, however, organizers can submit up to three (3) parts per minisymposium, allowing up to twelve (12) speakers. SIAM also discourages minisymposia in which most of the speakers or co-authors come from the same institution.

A minisymposium comprised of multiple parts will be counted as a SINGLE minisymposium.

SIAM also requests speakers submit only one oral presentation. Minisymposium session organizers and individual speakers are equally responsible for ensuring participants adhere to the one talk per person rule.

The first speaker should provide an overview of the topic area. Each minisymposium speaker should submit an abstract no longer than 1,500 characters, including spaces. The organizing committee will referee minisymposium proposals. The number of minisymposia may be limited to retain an acceptable level of parallelism in sessions.

Please visit the Guidelines for Preparing a Minisymposium Proposal.

SIAM requires minisymposium organizers propose sessions with a minimum of three (3) confirmed speakers by the minisymposium submission deadline. Sessions submitted with a majority of speakers listed as “TBD/TBA,” or using placeholders, risk immediate rejection.

Prospective minisymposium organizers must submit a proposal consisting of a title, a description (not to exceed 1,500 characters, including spaces), a list of speakers, and presentation titles using the Conference Management System (CMS).

Deadline for submission of minisymposium proposals: April 20, 2026 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time)
Deadline for submission of minisymposium speaker abstracts: May 18, 2026 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time)

Poster Minisymposia (Miniposteria)
A minisymposium of posters (miniposterium) consists of a collection of three or more posters by different presenters grouped around a central theme. The posters will be placed next to each other in a poster session. A minimum of three (3) posters and maximum of twelve (12) posters are allowed per miniposterium. Prospective miniposterium organizers must submit the miniposterium title,  description (not to exceed 1,500 characters, including spaces),  list of poster presenters and poster titles to the Conference Management System (CMS).

Deadline for submission of miniposteria proposals: April 20, 2026 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time)
Deadline for submission of miniposteria poster abstracts: May 18, 2026 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time)

Contributed Presentations in Poster Format
Contributed presentations in poster format are invited in all areas consistent with the themes. Individual poster submissions will be grouped by related topic and assigned to a miniposterium by the Organizing Committee after the close of submissions.

SIAM also requests speakers submit only one oral presentation. One talk and one poster per person are allowed.

A poster format involves the use of non-electronic visual aids for mounting on a poster board. Poster boards are typically 4’ high x 8’ wide. A poster session is typically two hours long. Each contributor must submit a title and a brief abstract not to exceed 1,500 characters, including spaces.

Contributed presentations in poster format must be submitted using the Conference Management System (CMS)

Deadline for submission of contributed poster abstracts: May 18, 2026 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time)
