How to Participate
SIAM requests individuals limit themselves to presenting a single talk. (This does not apply to invited plenary speakers). The Organizing Committee Co-Chairs may make exceptions to this request.
A poster may be presented in addition to a talk, provided the talk and the poster are on different topics. All submissions are subject to review and final approval by the co-chairs.
You are invited to contribute a presentation in one of the formats listed below.

Speaker Cancellation
The Organizing Committee expects every speaker in a scheduled presentation to register and attend.
If it becomes necessary for a speaker to cancel a presentation, they should try to find an alternate presenter immediately, preferably a co-author. See SIAM Policy on Substitute Speakers and Remote Presentations. Contact SIAM immediately with any change to a scheduled presentation.
A “no-show” or cancelled presentation can cause serious inconvenience to the attendees and organizers. The committee thanks all speakers in advance for their compliance to this request.
Submission Formats
Minisymposia
A minisymposium generally consists of four 25-minute presentations, with an additional five minutes for discussion after each presentation. To ensure balance, SIAM prefers a single individual not be the organizer or co-organizer of more than one minisymposium, however, organizers can submit up to three (3) parts per minisymposium, allowing up to twelve (12) speakers. In addition, SIAM discourages minisymposia in which most of the speakers or co-authors come from the same institution.
A minisymposium comprised of multiple parts will be counted as a SINGLE minisymposium.
SIAM also requests speakers submit only one oral presentation, either a minisymposium presentation or contributed lecture. Minisymposium session organizers and individual speakers are equally responsible for ensuring participants adhere to the one talk per person rule.
It is recommended the first speaker provide an overview of the topic area. Each minisymposium speaker should submit an abstract no longer than 1,500 characters, including spaces. The organizing committee will referee minisymposium proposals. The number of minisymposia may be limited to retain an acceptable level of parallelism in sessions.
Please visit the Guidelines for Preparing a Minisymposium Proposal.
SIAM requires minisymposium organizers propose sessions with a minimum of three (3) confirmed speakers by the minisymposium submission deadline. Sessions submitted with a majority of speakers listed as “TBD/TBA,” or using placeholders, risk immediate rejection.
Prospective minisymposium organizers must submit a proposal consisting of a title, a description (not to exceed 1,500 characters, including spaces), a list of speakers, and presentation titles using the Conference Management System.
Deadline for submission of minisymposium proposals: July 31, 2025 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time)
Deadline for submission of minisymposium speaker abstracts: September 2, 2025 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time)
Contributed Presentations in Lecture or Poster Format
Contributed presentations in lecture or poster format are invited in all areas consistent with the themes. A lecture format is generally a 15-minute oral presentation with an additional five (5) minutes for discussion. Talk lengths will be determined by the co-chairs at the close of submissions.
SIAM also requests speakers submit only one oral presentation, either a minisymposium presentation or contributed lecture.
A poster format involves the use of non-electronic visual aids for mounting on a poster board. Poster boards are typically 4’ high x 8’ wide. A poster session is typically two hours long. Each contributor, either for a lecture or a poster, must submit a title and a brief abstract not to exceed 1,500 characters, including spaces.
A poster may be presented in addition to a talk, provided the talk and the poster are on different topics.
Contributed presentations in lecture or poster format must be submitted using the Conference Management System (CMS).
Deadline for submission of contributed abstracts: September 2, 2025 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time)
Proceedings Submissions
SIAM PP26 and the SIAM Activity Group on Supercomputing (SIAG-SC) invite research papers on all conference themes. The SIAM PP conference series focuses on the design of numerical and discrete algorithms in the context of modern parallel computer architectures, covering both theory and practice.
Every paper accepted for inclusion in the proceedings must be presented during the conference. Papers rejected for inclusion in the proceedings may still be considered for conference presentation. Scheduling and acceptance are at the discretion of the Program Committee.
Peer Review and Proceedings
The research papers will be peer-reviewed. We will use a rigorous academic peer-review process and single-blind reviewing (resembling a journal-style review process, with a short single revision phase).
Accepted papers will be published in the SIAM Proceedings Series on Parallel Processing for Scientific Computing, will be DOI indexed, and will be accessible through the SIAM proceedings web site. Accepted papers will be presented at SIAM PP26 in special sessions in addition to the standard conference program.
Complete the steps below to submit a full paper for inclusion in the proceedings:
1) Submit an abstract to SIAM’s Conference Management System (CMS) as described above. Submitting your abstract to the CMS does not a submit your paper for consideration in the proceedings.
2) Submit a full paper to the Linklings proceedings collection site by September 2, 2025. Full paper submissions should present previously unpublished, original results that are not simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
All papers must be prepared using the SIAM proceedings format (double-column style) on https://www.siam.org/publications/proceedings/.
Submissions must include an abstract (100–400 words), author contact information, and the full list of authors and their affiliations. Papers may be no more than 10 pages in length excluding references and appendices. Supplementary material will be allowed, up to 8 pages, and is especially welcome concerning the reproducibility of the work. Submissions must be in PDF format.
