Housing Scam Alert

SIAM does not share or distribute personal, registration or housing details with any company or person. Third-party solicitation of hotel reservations is not approved by SIAM, and any claim SIAM has provided attendee contact information for solicitation is fraudulent. Reservations offered by unaffiliated organizations may promise lower rates; however, they may be illegitimate, nonexistent, non-refundable, or have unreasonable cancellation or change penalties. If you book your hotel with a third-party provider, SIAM cannot assist you with any problems incurred as a result of booking outside the official SIAM room block. Please be aware of any unauthorized solicitations and report them to meetings@siam.org.

Reservations

SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at the following discounted rates. Please be aware the room block fills quickly, so we suggest you make your hotel and travel plans early.

Your support in staying at the host hotel helps keep the conference costs, and the registration fee, as low as possible. SIAM may incur penalties if attendees stay in other hotels or neglect to book within the SIAM room block, which may increase registration fees for future conferences.

The group rate is guaranteed until 5:00 p.m. Pacific time on December 8, 2025, or until the room block is full. If rooms are available after the reservation deadline, they will be offered at the best available rate.

Room rates include complimentary internet access.
All rooms based on availability.
All rates are subject to state and local occupancy taxes.

If you find a lower room rate, make a reservation at the lower rate and notify SIAM's Conferences Department immediately. By doing this you will receive the lower rate and be counted towards the SIAM room block. However, please be aware by booking outside the SIAM room block at a lower rate, you may not receive the same benefits as rooms reserved in the SIAM room block (i.e. complimentary internet access).

Do not make your reservation online using the hotel’s general website, as this will not allow you to obtain the SIAM group rate. Be sure to use the online reservation link above if making reservations online. Remember to get your confirmation number!

Reservations are not confirmed until acknowledged in writing by the hotel or verified by phone. Be sure to get a confirmation number from the hotel and be prepared to provide that number to the front desk clerk upon check-in at the hotel.

Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel by prior to 6:00 p.m. on the scheduled arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee. Contact the hotel at the phone number above. Remember to get a cancellation number!

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m. 

Early Departure

The hotel may charge an early departure fee if an attendee checks out prior to the original checkout date. Attendees are responsible for informing the hotel of reservation changes as soon as possible and should confirm their scheduled departure date when checking into the hotel.

Deposit

The hotel requires a credit card to confirm and guarantee your reservation and will send out e-mail confirmations upon request.

Transportation

By Air

Attendees should fly into Vancouver International Airport making reservations directly with their preferred airline, travel agency or travel website.

Ground Transportation

Public Transportation from Airport

Taxis are available at the airport for transportation to the hotel. Please visit the Hyatt Regency Vancouver website and click on “Parking and Transportation” to find local directions. Additional ground transportation information is available on the Vancouver International Airport.

By Train

Amtrak has a rail station in Vancouver. Make reservations at Amtrak's website, call (800) USA-RAIL, or contact your travel agency or travel website. Taxis are available at the train station.

Rental Cars

Many major car rental companies have offices inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport, or you can make them through your own travel agency or travel website.

Driving Directions

When using a GPS system for directions, SIAM highly recommends you contact the hotel directly or visit their website for driving directions. In many cases, the street address of the building and the address required for the GPS are different.
