SIAM Prize for Distinguished Service to the Profession

The prize, established in 1985 and originally intended to be awarded periodically, is now awarded annually for contributions to the advancement of applied mathematics on the national or international level.

The prize is awarded every year to an applied mathematician who has made distinguished contributions to the furtherance of applied mathematics on the national or international level.

The prize can be presented to any member of the scientific community who meets the general principal guideline of the prize description.

About the Award

The SIAM Prize for Distinguished Service to the Profession includes a certificate. SIAM will reimburse the recipient for reasonable travel expenses incurred in attending the award ceremony.

Award Presentation
