SIAM Gains 85 Members in Member-Get-a-Member Campaign

The Member-Get-a-Member program encourages SIAM members to invite their colleagues to join SIAM. This past year, 78 members referred 85 colleagues who joined SIAM as a result. For every member who referred a colleague who then joined SIAM as a new member during 2013, both the person making the referral and the new member were entered into a drawing to win a prize. Congratulations to the following people, whose names were randomly selected on January 16, 2014, from all who were eligible. Each member who made a successful referral will also receive a SIAM t-shirt. Thanks to all who participated!

Raymond Honfu Chan of the Chinese University of Hong Kong won an iPad. Chan referred his colleague Gabriele Steidl, who joined SIAM as a result.

Abbas Shirinifard of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital won a free year of SIAM membership. He referred his colleague Suresh Thiagarajan who joined SIAM as a result.

New member Danial Faghihi of the University of Texas at Austin won a free registration to the SIAM conference of his choice. He joined SIAM after being referred by his colleague, SIAM member Ernesto Prudencio.

New member Wen-Wei Lin of the National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan won a free SIAM book of his choice. Lin was referred by his colleague, SIAM member Ming-Chih Lai.
