Juan J. L. Velázquez is a professor in the Institute for Applied Mathematics at the University of Bonn, prior to which he was a professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Complutense University of Madrid and a postdoctoral Fulbright Fellow at the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on several problems of partial differential equations, particularly in the study of kinetic equations.
