Michael Eldred (mseldre@sandia.gov) develops the Dakota software project in the Optimization and Uncertainty Quantification Department in the Center for Computing Research at Sandia National Laboratories. A Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and aerospace engineer by training, Eldred founded Dakota in 1994 and now leads its algorithm R&D activities.
